Some du'a that are usuful during tough times.

Supplication for anxiety and sorrow:

‘O Allaah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant, my forelock is in Your hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You which You name Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur’aan the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety.’

Supplication for one whose affairs have become difficult:

‘O Allaah, there is no ease except in that which You have made easy, and You make difficulty, if You wish, easy.’

Supplication when stricken with a mishap or overtaken by an affair:

‘The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allaah, than the weak believer and there is goodness in both. Strive for that which will benefit you, seek help from Allaah and do not despair. If a mishap should happen to befall you then do not say ‘ If only I had acted….such and such would have happened’. Rather say:
‘Allaah has decreed and what He wills, He does’.
… for verify ‘If’ lets in the work of the devil.’

when we have hard times, we must remember that there is always a reason for it to happen:

Allah's Apostle (Sal-allahu-aleihi-wasallam) said, "If Allah wants to do good to somebody, He afflicts him with trials."

Asking for forgiveness is the only way...:

Allah's Apostle (Sal-allahu-aleihi-wassallam) said: He who seeks repentance (from the Lord) before the rising of the sun from the west (before the Day of Resurrection), Allah turns to him with Mercy.

Narrated by AbuHurayrah(Razi Allah Ta'lah Anhu); Sahih Bukhari transmitted it

Reminding ourselves of Allah(SWT):
Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever says, 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,' one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea."

Narrated by Abu Hurairah (Razi Allah Ta'lah Anhu); Sahih Bukhari transmitted it. Vol 8:#414 of Sahih Bukhari.

Throughout our lives, things will happen that we have no control over. The key is patients and trust in Allah(SWT). This is just a friendly reminder for everyone, but also myself.

Some Ansari persons asked for (something) from Allah's Apostle (Sal-allahu-aleihi-wasallam) and he gave them. They again asked him for (something) and he again gave them. And then they asked him and he gave them again till all that was with him finished. And then he (Sal-allahu-aleihi-wasallam) said "If I had anything, I would not keep it away from you. (Remember,) whoever abstains from asking others, Allah will make him contented, and whoever tries to make himself self-sufficient, Allah will make him self-sufficient. And whoever remains patient, Allah will make him patient. Nobody can be given a blessing better and greater than patience."
Narrated by Abu Said Al-Khudri (Razi Allah Ta'lah Anhu); Sahih Bukhari transmitted it. Vol 2:#548 of Sahih Bukhari.

Allah's Apostle (Sal-allahu-aleihi-wasallam) said: "Strange are the ways of a believer for there is good in every affair of his and this is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a believer for if he has an occasion to feel delight, he thanks (God), thus there is a good for him in it, and if he gets into trouble and shown resignation (and endures it patiently), there is a good for him in it".
Narrated by Suhaib ibn Sinan ar-Rumi (Razi Allah Ta'lah Anhu); Muslim transmitted it. Hadith No.5297 of Mishkat al-Masabih.

CELL PHONE vs THE HOLY QUR'AN

The Book of Allah is like an ocean. The less learned, like
children, collect pebbles and shells from its shores. The scholars
and thinkers, like pearl divers, bring out from it the highest
philosophy, wisdom and rules of a perfect way of living.

I wonder what would happen if I treated the Qur'an like I treat my cell phone?

What if I carried it around in my purses for pocket?

What if I turned back to go get it if I forgot it?

What if I flipped through it several times a day?

What if I used it to receive messages from the text?

What if I treated it like I couldn't live without it?

What if I gave it to my child as a gift?

What if I used it as I travelled?

What if I used it in case of an emergency?

What if I upgraded it to get the latest edition?

This is something to make me think ... hmmm .... where is my
Qur'an?

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike my cell phone, I don't ever have to worry about the Holy book being disconnected because Allah has already paid the bill.

To Allah we belong and unto Him is our return.

Ok...what the hell is wrong with brothers?? are they like out to get their sisters?? i honestly think mine is... he is trying to KILL me!! and i HATE HIM SO MUCH!!! what the hell..i mean... yes, he is my brother, therefore i have to live with him, but who says i have to be nice?? AND I AM!!! i help him with homework...i let him borrow my stuff.. and what do i get?? my C.D player broken, money stolen, and now... my brand new discman left at a friends house for two weeks, brought home and BROKEN!!! ok... i hope im not over exaggerating.... u know what i really dont care he has no right to take my stuff without asking and BRAKE IT!! ARGH!!! ARGH!! i need to calm down... OMG!! I wish he would liek.. just go away... and i hate that i feel bad because i'm mad at him... i should be allowed to be mad at him!! he's an ass......ok...well.. let me not think about that anymore... something nice.... umm.. oo i just baked peanutbutter cookies....hmm.. i think ill eat another one........mm.. they are really good... hmm.. yea well im gonna go... ok bye

so.. hey.. um i just had a really boring day.. yea all i did was well.. nothing..i went to concert band this morning, the regular school thing, tutored this afternoon, and im about to eat supper... nothing has happened.....this has really been a really bland and boring day..what is this world coming to? i mean..for nothing even remotely interesting to have happened...so yea.. ok... im gonna go now...

ok seeing as this is my first entry...ill just write about myself i guess....ok well......i hate life right now.... it pretty much sux when ur 16 and cant do nething.....my parents are really over protective..and oh well... school sux..and i hate it soo much... i hate math and chem... argh burn in hell!!..and why does cegep have to be soo annoying??..ok well this is just a tester... so read away!!!
